Armored Truck Shears Power Pole Near Rohnert Park: CHP
The collision was followed by a power outage. The money truck had to be towed from the scene.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA β An armored truck collided with a power pole Thursday near Rohnert Park, which apparently led to a power outage.
The incident involving a large red Brinks money truck was reported shortly after 7 a.m. Thursday in the 500 block of Millbrae Avenue, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch logs.
At 7:21 a.m., it was confirmed the Brinks truck sheared a pole as it went off the roadway.

The road was closed as emergency personnel responded.
Another crash involving a separate car was reported at 8:19 a.m., according to the CHP.

No injuries were reported in either crash but the Brinks truck and the other car both had to be towed from the scene, dispatch reports showed.
A power outage affecting at least 66 customers was reported shortly after 7 a.m. in the vicinity of Millbrae Avenue, according to PG&E's website.
PG&E's preliminary determination was that the outage was caused by an emergency issue.
The utility company estimated power would be restored by 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
