Attempted Kidnapping in San Francisco: Cotati Man Pleads Not Guilty
A Cotati man accused of trying to kidnap a woman in San Francisco last weekend pleaded not guilty on Wednesday to attempted kidnapping.

NORTH BAY, CA -- A Cotati man accused of trying to kidnap a woman in San Francisco's Pacific Heights neighborhood pleaded not guilty Wednesday to an attempted kidnapping charge.
Darrin Bravo, 46, made his first appearance in court this afternoon following his arrest Sunday in Sonoma County.
Police allege that Bravo got out of his car in the 2800 block of Steiner Street around 8:50 p.m. on Saturday and tried to grab a 31-year-old woman walking on the sidewalk.

Witnesses intervened, however, causing the suspect to flee in his vehicle south on Steiner. Police say the woman was not injured.
Investigators said they were able to identify Bravo as a suspect and located him in Cotati on Sunday.

When California Highway Patrol officers tried to pull him over, Bravo allegedly fled in his vehicle but collided with another vehicle in Petaluma. The occupants in the vehicle that collided with Bravo's suffered
injuries not considered life-threatening, police said.
Bail was set at $500,000 and Bravo remained in custody as of Wednesday afternoon.
