Authorities ID Bicyclist Struck, Killed On Stony Point Road
A 22-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of hit-and-run and DUI in the fatality near Rohnert Park.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA β The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office has identified the bicyclist who died after he was struck by two vehicles near Rohnert Park Thursday as Lusiano Siro Garcia, 35, of Santa Rosa. The California Highway Patrol arrested Gyvaughn Waunye Smith, 22, of Santa Rosa on suspicion of DUI and hit-and-run. Smith is scheduled to be arraigned Monday afternoon in Sonoma County Superior Court.
The collision happened on Stony Point Road north of Millbrae Avenue in unincorporated Sonoma County near Rohnert Park around 4:40 a.m., the CHP said.
Garcia was found dead in the south left turn lane of Stony Point Road. Evidence at the scene indicated Smith's Jeep Liberty was one of the vehicles, and CHP officers found Smith driving a Jeep Liberty 25 minutes later on Stony Point Road near Sebastopol Road.

A second vehicle, described as a dark-colored sedan, also struck the 25-year-old bicyclist from Santa Rosa and left the scene. It was last seen driving east on Millbrae Avenue, the CHP said.
Anyone with information about the collision or who believes they might have struck Smith is asked to call the CHP at 707-588-1400.
