The bicyclist was not in a crosswalk and the driver could not stop in time to avoid a collision, Black said. The bicyclist struck the front windshield of the Toyota and landed on the pavement, and the speed of the Toyota has not been determined, Black said.
The bicyclist suffered life-threatening injuries and he was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. The driver is cooperating with the investigation, Black said.
