Charles M. Schulz's Previous Sebastopol Property Listed For $3.95M
Schulz used the present home as his art studio to draw his nationally syndicated "Peanuts" comic strip.

SEBASTOPOL, CA — A midcentury modern home in Sebastopol previously owned by one of the world's most famous cartoonists and comic strip artists, Charles M. Schulz, was co-listed for sale Friday for $3.95 million by Mark Stevens and Gail Gijzen, affiliated agents with the Sebastopol office of Coldwell Banker Realty in Northern California. The property is also a listing with the Coldwell Banker Global Luxury® program.
Built in 1966, the property was a portion of 27 acres previously referred to by Schulz as the "Coffee Grounds." In December 1971, the Schulz family donated the entire property to a local church, which was later sold to the Agape Force Ministry in September 1974. Agape Force, which ran a Christian home for 100 youths, was granted permission to have the land zoned into three parcels, selling the art studio and golf course parcel to the Rogers family in 1976.
Schulz used the present home on Coffee Lane as his art studio to draw his nationally syndicated comic strip, "Peanuts." The Rogers family has owned it for three generations and has used the property for family gatherings, weddings, reunions and as a vacation rental.
