Copeland Creek Bike Path to get Major Revamp

Do you walk or bike the Copeland Creek trail, that wraps around the Laguna de Santa Rosa? If you do, good news — ther city is currently seeking bidders to reconstruct the path between Commerce Boulevard and Seed Farm Drive and between Snyder Lane and Sonoma State.

The segments of the path — often frequented by dog walkers, students getting to class and bike commuters, is bumpy and unsafe, as a result of what the city calls "failed asphalt."

The reconstruction — to be carried out this summer — includes a repaving, adjustment of sewer inlets and utility covers that could disrupt walkers and bikers. Estimated cost is between $500,000 and $750,000, according to the city.
