Coroner Identifies Body Found Near Bodega Dunes

BODEGA DUNES - A partially decomposed body found Tuesday morning on a beach near Bodega Dunes has been identified.

The Sonoma County Sheriff Coroner’s Office identified the person as 62-year-old Channing Gardner, a Santa Rosa resident, according to a sheriff's report.

Her body was discovered Tuesday near Bodega Dunes, south of Salmon Creek.

Authorities say the Coroner’s Office will schedule a forensic pathologist to perform an examination to determine the cause and manner of Gardner’s death.
