Cotati Historical Society To Host Annual Chicken Barbeque On Sunday

Tickets are still available for the annual event featuring live music, a vintage car show and plenty of good, old-fashioned family fun.

COTATI, CA —The Cotati Historical Society will host its annual old-fashioned chicken barbecue this weekend.

Scheduled for Sunday, Apr. 30 from noon to 4 p.m. in the Cotati Room at the Ray Miller Community Center, 216 East School Street in Cotati, the annual event features a plethora events designed to be fun for the entire family.

Offering both indoor and outdoor seating, this year's menu consists of half of a barbecued chicken, beans, coleslaw, and a roll with either water or lemonade to drink. For those looking to partake in something a little stronger, Beer and wine, along with home-baked desserts, will be available to purchase.

Food will be served until 3 p.m., organizers said, adding that the fun doesn't end when food service does. With a silent auction, live music by the Blubyrds, a bake sale, a 50/50 raffle and a vintage and hot rod car show, there is plenty of fun to be had at the event which was first held in 2009.

The proceeds from the event will benefit the Cotati Historical Society.
