Drunken Driver Hits 3 Cars, Navigated Santa Rosa Streets With Flat Tire: Police

The man was arrested on suspicion of DUI after hitting three cars.

SANTA ROSA, CA — A 33-year-old Santa Rosa resident was accused of drunk driving after his silver Chevrolet Silverado collided with three parked vehicles, police said.

In addition to DUI, Eric Elias Gayosso was accused of driving on a suspended license, and a probation violation, police said Friday.

Officers were dispatched about 9 p.m. Thursday to the area of Stony Point Road and Hearn Avenue regarding a hit-and-run that had just occurred, police said. A member of the public was following the Silverado, which was driving on a flat tire, police said.

While officers were en route, the Sonoma County Sheriff's helicopter was flying above and providing updates to the vehicle location, police said.

The Silverado eventually stopped in the area of Rose and Burbank avenues. Occupants fled from the vehicle and were apprehended.
