DUI Crash Injuries 3, Driver Arrested

A 44-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and causing a crash in Rohnert Park early Sunday.

ROHNERT PARK, CA β€” A 44-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and causing a crash in Rohnert Park early Sunday that caused major injuries to the driver of another car and also injured two people in her own vehicle, according to the city's Department of Public Safety.

Rohnert Park resident Maria Valencia was arrested following the collision reported at 2:37 a.m. in the area of Rohnert Park Expressway and Commerce Boulevard involving a Toyota Tundra pickup truck and a Toyota Scion.

The Scion's driver suffered major injuries to his lower extremities and was taken to a hospital to undergo surgery, and the Department of Public Safety did not immediately release his condition.
Valencia was driving the Tundra and had two men in the vehicle. One suffered moderate injuries and was hospitalized, while the second was uninjured.

Valencia had a preliminary blood-alcohol content of 0.15% and was arrested and booked into Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of felony DUI, public safety officials said.
