Do you have kids? Do you want them to get out and bike more — perhaps to school or the park so you don't have to drive them around as much — but you're concerned about safety? Why not come bring your family to City Center Plaza on Sept. 30 for a "Bike Safety Rodeo" sponsored by the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety.
The bike safety night, which happens at the same time as the Friday Night Farmers Market, will offer:
- A bike riding skills course.
- Bicycle safety inspections.
- Helmet inspection and fitting.
- Picture ID cards.
- Plus games, fun and prizes!
- Also, four bikes will be raffled away for free.
The event is for kids ages 3-13, and you must bring your bike and helmet to participate. Additional sponsors include Breakaway Bikes, Safe Kids Sonoma County and Walmart.
