Sonoma State University "Flyover" Commemorating 50th Anniversary

Hundreds of students, faculty and staff, as well as members of the local community, are invited to pose for an aerial photograph in the shape of a giant human “50” at noon on Thursday, Sept 29 on Commencement Lawn at Sonoma State University.

This kickoff "fly-over" is the first in a series of activities that celebrates the University’s 50th anniversary throughout the year.

Thursday’s event is open to the public and will be the scene of festivities as at least 500 people are expected to attend.

The University staged a similar event ten years ago when a 40th flyover photo was staged.

The public is invited to attend to celebrate SSU’s golden anniversary.
