Fatal Crash On US-101 Near Yolanda Avenue: CHP
When CHP officers arrived, the SUV was found on its roof submerged in water.
ROHNERT PARK, CA — A man was killed today in a crash on northbound US-101, just south of Yolanda Avenue.
A preliminary investigation indicates the man, driving a Ford Expedition, was traveling in the middle lane when the he lost control, veered left, and collided with the center median, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The vehicle then crossed all northbound lanes, struck a guardrail, overturned, and came to rest in a roadside ditch. When CHP officers arrived shortly after 2:30 p.m., the SUV was found on its roof with the roof submerged in water.

The driver was exticated from the vehicle and transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
This crash remains under investigation.
