Felon Accused Of Harassing Hiker At Taylor Mountain Park: Cops
The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office used a helicopter to locate and arrest the man.
SONOMA COUNTY, CA β A man who allegedly threatened a woman hiking Saturday morning in
Taylor Mountain Regional Park just outside of Santa Rosa was arrested by the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office after he was located with the assistance of a helicopter. The woman reported the incident at 11 a.m., saying a man approached and asked her to come with him, then began yelling and making threats when she ignored him and walked away.
Deputies and the sheriff's office helicopter, Henry 1, responded and based on the woman's description, located Salvador Bejar Jr., 36, of Santa Rosa. Deputies were flown to the suspect via the helicopter.
Deputies determined that in addition to being a suspect, Bejar was under the influence of alcohol, both probation violations.

Bejar was arrested for a felony probation violation and booked into the Sonoma County Jail where he was being held without bail. He has previous convictions for weapons charges and assault.
