Heavy Traffic Expected Wednesday Near SRPD's Trunk Or Treat

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — The Santa Rosa Police Department is expecting a large turnout Wednesday for its Trunk or Treat, a family-friendly, drive-thru event that is free to the public and provides a safe place for children to trick or treat.

The event is from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Santa Rosa Veterans Memorial Building parking lot, 1351 Maple Ave., near the Sonoma County Fairgrounds.

"Due to the expected crowds ... heavy traffic is expected in the area during the event," Santa Rosa police said.

The roads most impacted will be Maple Avenue, Brookwood Avenue and Bennett Valley Road near the Sonoma County Fairgrounds, SRPD said.

"Please drive safely and plan your routes accordingly."
