Historian Needs Help Proofing New Book Documenting Rohnert Park's History

Tim Danisi has written a book commissioned by Arcadia Publishing — a company that publishes local histories of cities throughout California — on the city's first 50 years.

Rohnert Park historian Tim Danisi is inviting the public to come to the public library today to help him identify people in photos and fact-check his most recent book documenting the city's last 50 years.

He'll be set up at the library from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday.

"I need people look at the proofs to help identify some of the photos for the book," he said. Specifically, Danisi needs help identifying people in a few of the photos. Danisi's book catalogs the beginning of Rohnert Park, from the first office building — located in A Section off of Commerce Boulevard, to City Manager Pete Callinan's nearly 30-year career.
