Hot New Picnic Tables a Danger
On hot days the surface temperature of the tables and seats reach over 143F. OSHA's limit before personal protection is required is 140F.
As you can see that no one uses these new tables because they are too hot to sit on. It’s the same at H park. They spent $60,000.00 on 8 tables, not counting insulation costs.
OSHA requires personal protection for surface’s over 140F.
And the whole park is out of compliance with the ADA for walking surfaces, sidewalks.
Basketball and tennis courts haven’t had a proper surfaces in 20 years. They have cracks with weeds growing up.
