License Plate Readers Aid In Arrest Of Suspected North Bay Car Thief
License plate reader cameras picked up a Nissan Xterra SUV driving in Ukiah after it was reported stolen in Santa Rosa
SANTA ROSA, CA — A woman was arrested in Ukiah on Thursday for allegedly driving a SUV reported stolen in Santa Rosa, the police said.
According to the Ukiah Police Department, Flock Safety license plate reader cameras picked up a Nissan Xterra SUV driving in Ukiah Thursday night around 10:54 p.m. The Nissan's license plate matched a vehicle reported stolen by the Santa Rosa Police Department.
Flock is a series of 14 license plate reading cameras that the department operates in the city to solve crimes.

Officers pulled the SUV over after spotting it in the 500 block of Ford Street. The driver, 36-year-old Ukiah resident Jessica Bell was driving, police said.
Bell was arrested and booked into the Mendocino County Jail on suspicion of vehicle theft.
