Louisiana Couple Arrested In Rohnert Park With Stolen Car
Two Santa Rosa residents found by police said they had just met the pair, and were waiting for a bank to open so they could withdraw cash.

ROHNERT PARK - Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety officers arrested a Louisiana couple with outstanding warrants Wednesday morning for possession of a stolen vehicle.
After a citizen reported seeing a suspicious vehicle, Stevie Mercedes Eheler, 23, who initially gave officers her sisterβs name, and Benjamin Clement, 32, were found sitting in the car with two Santa Rosa residents around 8:30 a.m. in the parking lot of the Exchange Bank at 6290 Commerce Blvd., Sgt. Jeff Justice said.
The Santa Rosa residents said they had just met Eheler and Clement and were waiting for the bank to open so they could withdraw cash.

Patrol officers determined the vehicle with West Virginia license plates was stolen from Ehelerβs mother in Arkansas, Justice said.
Eheler was wanted on a felony warrant in Lake Charles, La., for negligent homicide, and Clement had a non-extraditable warrant in Louisiana for narcotics related charges, Justice said.

Eheler was arrested on the warrant and for giving a false name, and she and Clement were arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle, Justice said.
They were both booked into the Sonoma County Jail where Eheler will be facing extradition to Louisiana, and Clement is being held on $10,000.00 bail.
The Santa Rosa residents were not arrested and were released, Justice said.
