Man Exposes Genitals To Girl On ​Rohnert Park Trail: Police

An 18-year-old man was accused of exposing himself to an 11-year-old girl walking along a trail, authorities said.

ROHNERT PARK, CA — An 18-year-old man was arrested Thursday after allegedly exposing himself to an 11-year-old girl walking along the Crane Creek Trail near Emma Court, according to the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety.

Police said the incident occurred around 4:08 p.m. when the juvenile heard someone yell from the bushes. She looked over and saw Brendon Ambrose, of Rohnert Park, with his genitals reportedly exposed.

The girl immediately told her mother, who contacted the police.

Officers arrived, spoke with the victim and her mother, and located Ambrose walking near the scene, according to the police.

When officers attempted to contact him, Ambrose reportedly fled on foot through the creek but was detained after a brief pursuit, police said. No injuries were reported.

The juvenile positively identified Ambrose as the suspect. He was booked into Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of indecent exposure and resisting arrest.

Police said there is no ongoing threat to the community but reminded residents to stay alert while using local trails and to report suspicious activity by calling 911.
