A sergeant from the Department joined the pursuit of the vehicle on Bonnie Ave. and followed the vehicle back to Burton Ave. where it struck a parked vehicle and continued to drive north.

According to authorities, the Ford led officers on a high speed pursuit to Southwest Blvd., running red lights and stop signs as it travelled. The driver went north on Snyder Ln. driving the wrong way through the construction zone to try and escape pursuing officers.

The driver eventually jumped out of the vehicle in the 4900 block of Snyder Ln., running from the still moving vehicle.

The vehicle came to rest on Snyder Ln. Police say no other vehicles were damaged. The vehicle apparently crossed Snyder Ln. without a driver.

Police units set up a perimeter to try and surround the unknown subject. The Cotati Police Department K9 responded to the scene along with the Sheriff’s helicopter, Henry1, to try and track down the driver.

The driver was never located and police are still trying to identify him.
