AΒ missing 19-year-old Sonoma County woman was found with a wantedΒ felon following a SWAT team standoff at a home in Guerneville this morning,Β according to a Sonoma County Sheriff's lieutenant.
Β  Β  Β Β
On Friday, the woman was reported missing from her Sonoma CountyΒ home and had last been seen in Fremont with 32-year-old William Tweedie, whoΒ was wanted in Sonoma County for a felony probation violation, Lt. Tim DukeΒ said.
Β  Β  Β Β
Detectives worked throughout the night to track down Tweedie andΒ developed information that led them to a home off of Westside Road inΒ Guerneville, where they found a vehicle registered in his name, theΒ
lieutenant said.
Β  Β  Β Β
Duke said deputies arriving on the scene spoke with the propertyΒ owner, identified as 51-year-old Steven Gary Hill, but he refused toΒ cooperate with them.
Β  Β  Β Β
Concerned for the safety of the missing woman and believing thatΒ
she was inside the home, the sheriff's office SWAT team was called toΒ negotiate with Hill.
Β  Β  Β Β
The SWAT team was able to establish a dialogue with the propertyΒ owner, prompting Tweedie to exit the home and surrender on the felony warrantΒ aroundΒ 10 a.m., according to the sheriff's office.
Β  Β  Β Β
The missing woman was found inside the home, apparently unharmed.
Β  Β  Β Β
Duke said an investigation into the case is ongoing but that theΒ woman appears to have gone missing voluntarily and decided to join Tweedie,Β who is an acquaintance.
Β  Β  Β
Β A search of the Guerneville home also turned up a loaded firearm,Β the lieutenant said.
Β  Β  Β Β
Tweedie was arrested for allegedly being a felon in possession ofΒ ammunition, which violated the terms of his probation, and for a new chargeΒ of being a felon in possession of a loaded firearm, according to theΒ sheriff's office.
Β  Β  Β
Hill was also arrested on suspicion of knowingly aiding, harboringΒ and concealing a felon to avoid or escape arrest.
