Night in Pictures: Sharing of the Green

Sharing of the Green has raised more than $1.2 million for the Cotati-Rohnert Park Unified School District — made up of 11 schools currently serving about 6,700 kids — over the last 25 years. About 250 people came out on Saturday night to show their support. 

Proceeds from Sharing of the Green benefit Cotati-Rohnert Park schools. Teachers apply for grants, the Education Foundation's board reviews requests, then funds are given out to teachers for kids programs and supplies that would not otherwise be possible.

"It's amazing how many teachers don't know about us," said George Mojica, a board director.

"This is more important now, than ever," said Vera Blanquie, president of the foundation. "The schools are under such financial constraints."
