NORTH BAY, CA -- A 14-year-old Santa Rosa boy led police on a high speed chase through multiple Sonoma County cities early Friday morning, authorities say.
Police say they first saw the suspect driving the vehicle with its headlights off around 2 a.m. May 19 in downtown Cotati, and that the driver sped off when an officer attempted to stop the car. The stolen vehicle then traveled westbound through Cotati and at one point sideswiped a car that was pulling over to get out of its path, police added.
The pursuit, which authorities say reached about 100 mph at one point, traveled into southeast Santa Rosa and ended after the driver attempted to go over a Highway 101 center median and two of the carβs ties blew out.

The driver was arrested at the intersection of Hearn Avenue and Dowd Drive in Santa Rosa, as were his two passengers, 14 and 15-year-old boys, also from Santa Rosa. Their names were not released because all are juveniles.
The 14-mile pursuit lasted 16 minutes, police said. No injuries to police or bystanders were reported.

Police say the car the boys were in had been reported stolen hours earlier. The 14-year-old driver was booked on suspicion of felony evading and felony possession of a stolen vehicle.
The driver also had 10 no-bail warrants out for his arrest at the time of the chase, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
