PG&E Complies With Safety Measures
An independent monitor reports that PG&E is complying with sfety measures in Sonoma County imposed after a devastating wildfire.

SONOMA COUNTY β An independent monitor found PG&E is complying with safety measures imposed under a court agreement following a devastating 2019 fire, the Sonoma County District Attorney's office said Friday.
The monitor was appointed to track the company's performance after an equipment failure ignited the 77,000-acre Kincade Fire, causing the evacuation of 200,000 residents, the district attorney's office said in a statement.
"I commend PG&E for their efforts thus far to remedy any deficiencies discovered by the monitor and am looking forward to continued progress and cooperation," District Attorney Carla Rodriguez said following the first annual report by the monitor, Filsinger Energy Partners.

The fire triggered by a failure on a PG&E transmission tower on Oct. 23, 2019, burned for 15 days, destroying hundreds of homes and structures, the district attorney's office said. The company agreed to supervision by the independent monitor under an agreement with the county reached in 2022.
The monitor said it found no issues with 72 transmission lines, and 14 deficiencies with 1,231 distribution assets, all of which were resolved or on track to be fixed, the district attorney's office said.
