ROHNERT PARK, CA — Guests Saturday at Graton Resort & Casino in Sonoma County got a special treat.

A lion dance event was performed by LionDanceMe twice on Saturday— at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. — to commemorate the Lunar New Year and the start of the Year of the Dragon.

A lion dance is an important ritual in Chinese tradition believed to bring good luck and drive away evil spirits on positive and fortunate occasions. A good performance is traditionally viewed to bring good luck and happiness.
