Officers had responded around 2:40 p.m. on June 11 to a report of a possible domestic violence case at the apartment and were told by residents that possible gunshots were fired about 20 minutes before the officers arrived on scene, according to police.
After trying for nearly two hours to contact the people inside, police entered the apartment and found Carrillo-Cedillo and Hemming dead in a bedroom. Multiple firearms registered to Carrillo-Cedillo were also found in the apartment, police said.
