Popular Frozen Food Purveyor Launches Vegetarian Drive-Thru Eatery

The first vegetarian fast food restaurant in the United States opened last weekend in Rohnert Park.

Hundreds of hungry patrons from all over the Bay Area, eager to try a progressive menu that includes vegan macaroni and cheese, gluten-free and organic fare, were lined up to check out the new drive-thru at Amy’s Drive Thru restaurant, according to KGO News.

Paul Shiefer of Amy’s told KGO the local company has been making frozen organic foods for years, but never dreamed that the eatery would be such a hit.

KGO reported the food at Amy’s is sustainably grown and employees are paid a living wage with health benefits.

Amy’s, which sells its organic frozen food across the country and in Canada, is a family-owned business based in the Bay Area.
