Pound Of Heroin, 8 Pounds Of Meth Found In Sonoma County Home: Police

Two men were arrested in connection with the investigation, police said.

ROHNERT PARK, CA β€” Two men were arrested after police found over a pound of heroin and more than eight pounds of methamphetamine while searching homes in Sonoma County, according to authorities.

The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office narcotics unit executed a search warrant Wednesday at the residences in Rohnert Park and Santa Rosa, with K9 Duke helping to find the heroin and methamphetamine, police said, adding they also discovered over $15,000 cash.

Antonio Medina, 49, of Rohnert Park, was arrested on suspicion of possessing heroin for sale, possessing methamphetamine for sale and possessing ammunition as a prohibited person, according to police, who noted he was being held without bail.

In the process of the investigation, 41-year-old Luis Alfonso Ruiz Gonzalez of Santa Rosa was contacted by deputies and arrested on suspicion of resisting an officer, police said. He was released on $5,000 bail, according to police.
