Propane Truck Rollover Crash Prompts Sonoma County Road Closure

Grange Road was closed between Bennett Valley Road and Guenza Road because of a propane spill, the California Highway Patrol said.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — A rollover crash involving a propane truck prompted the closure Tuesday of Grange Road south of Bennett Valley Road, the California Highway Patrol said.

"There is a propane leak and the road is expected to be closed for a while," the CHP said on Twitter.

The incident was first reported at 10:38 a.m. Tuesday in the 4100 block of Grange Road. At 11:18 a.m., CHP called for the full closure of Grange Road between Bennett Valley Road and Guenza Road.

An ambulance responded indicating at least one person may have been injured in the crash.

A hazardous materials crew was also requested to help with the cleanup of some 600 gallons of propane.

Shortly after 2 p.m., CHP announced the roadway was reopened.
