UPDATED: High School in Rohnert Park Evacuated After Bomb Threat

BREAKING: All students and classes at Rancho Cotate High School in Rohnert Park were dismissed mid-day on Wednesday due to a bomb threat.

UPDATED at 3 pm 3/8/17:

The Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety responded to a bomb threat at Rancho Cotate High School around noon today.

It was the second bomb threat in a week, police said.

Students were released from class and the school at 5450 Snyder Lane was searched and cleared before it was turned over to administrators around 12:10 p.m., according to the Department of Public Safety.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA -- All students and classes at Rancho Cotate High School in Rohnert Park were dismissed mid-day on Wednesday due to police activity.

Anyone going to the school for any reason has been advised by Rohnert Park police to avoid the main parking lot and instead head to the student lot and contact an officer on scene.

Parents have been advised to check University Square if unable to locate your student.
