Election night results for Rohnert Park City Council, Cotati City Council, Cotati-Rohnert Park Unified School District and Measure S.
ROHNERT PARK-COTATI, CA — The polls — and ballot boxes — are now officially closed for the 2020 presidential election.
In Rohnert Park and Cotati, voters decided on some local races and a tax extension. There were contests for both the Rohnert Park City Council and Cotati City Council, and for a trustee seat on the Cotati-Rohnert Park Unified School District Governing Board.
In Cotati, four candidates vied for three seats Cotati City Council: incumbent Susan Harvey and challengers, Ben Ford, Brittany Murphy and Laura Sparks.

In Rohnert Park, two candidates competed to represent Area 1 on the City Council: Walter "Willy" Linares and Dave Soldavini.

In the race to serve as trustee for Area 5 of the Cotati-Rohnert Park Unified School District governing board the candidates were: Michelle Wing and Tim Nonn.

Cotati Measure S
Cotati voters also decided on Measure S, the Cotati Fiscal Stability and Essential Services Extension Measure. A yes vote approved the tax extension, a no vote was against the tax extension.
"To continue funding that cannot be taken by the State, to maintain/prevent cuts to 911 emergency dispatch/local public safety; domestic violence response; emergency/natural disaster preparedness; streets/pothole repair; parks; and other city services, shall the measure to extend Cotati’s existing, voter-approved 1¢ sales tax be adopted until ended by voters, providing $2,200,000 annually, with citizens’ oversight, audits, and no increase in tax rates?"
