Rohnert Park, Cotati Gas Prices Continue To Soar

ROHNERT PARK AND COTATI, CA — Drivers in Rohnert Park and Cotati saw another uptick in gas prices over the weekend as did many throughout the Bay Area.

Prices at the pump continue to rise and California’s average price per gallon is now at $5.98, up 2.9 cents from Sunday, GasBuddy stats show. The highest recorded average for the state dating back to 2008 was listed at $5.94.

In Sonoma County, the average price Monday for a gallon of regular gas was $6.13.

In Rohnert Park, the cheapest gas prices Monday were at Speedway, 7898 Old Redwood Highway, where a regular gallon of gas was $5.79. Gas was also $5.79 per gallon Monday at Valero, 175 Southwest Blvd., as well as at Rotten Robbie, 201 Southwest Blvd.

In Cotati, the cheapest gas prices Monday were at 76, 8510 Gravenstein Highway, where a regular gallon of gas was $5.81.

The national average remained steady at $4.48. The tick has gone up little by little over the last month but that’s still the highest ever recorded average on record dating back to 2008, GasBuddy reported.

The lowest average for 2022 was $3.27 on Jan. 2. As of Monday, the West and East Coasts as well as Illinois had the highest prices in the country. California continued to have the highest gas prices in the country.
