Rohnert Park School Evacuated After Suspected Explosive Device Found
A high school in Rohnert Park was evacuated Monday evening after a report of a suspected explosive device on campus.

ROHNERT PARK, CA -- A high school in Rohnert Park was evacuated Monday evening after a report of a suspected explosive device on campus, according to public safety officials.
At 5:45 p.m. on Feb. 27, the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety Communication Center received a call about a suspected explosive device on the campus of Rancho Cotate High School, located at 5450 Synder Lane.
Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety officers and Sonoma State University police officers arrived and set up a perimeter while evacuating the campus. When the evacuation was complete, the Sonoma County Sheriff Bomb Unit responded to assist in a search of the campus.

Officers, school officials, and an explosive detection dog searched the campus, but no devices were found, public safety officials said.
The campus was released back to school officials. School will resume as scheduled Tuesday morning, public safety officials said.
