Small Jump in County Unemployment
Jobless rate rose to 9.5 percent in March, up from 9.3.

More people throughout Sonoma County were looking for work in March, compared to February, the Press Democrat is reporting. The jobless rate rose slightly to 9.5 percent, up from 9.3 the previous month.
The article reported that more people may be on the ground looking for jobs, but aren't having too much luck finding them. The article stated that:
“We are definitely seeing an increase in people re-entering the workforce who have been discouraged,” said Karen Fies, who oversees the county's Job Link program in Santa Rosa. “With unemployment insurance running out, they are finding the need to come back and re-engage.”
