SMART Train Collides With Car In Rohnert Park
All trains were delayed by 45 minutes and Rohnert Park Expressway was closed at the train tracks.

ROHNERT PARK, CA — Rohnert Park Expressway reopened in both directions Thursday following a collision involving a SMART train and an unoccupied car, authorities said shortly after 7 p.m.
The incident delayed all trains by 45 minutes, according to SMART.
"Avoid the area of Rohnert Park Expressway at the train tracks due to a train versus vehicle collision," Rohnert Park Department said in a Nixle alert issued at 6:15 p.m. "Traffic will need to divert to Country Club Dr or State Farm."

No one was in the car when it was struck, SMART said on Twitter.
In a follow-up Nixle alert at 7:11 p.m., police said traffic was open on eastbound and westbound Rohnert Park Expressway.

"It was a noninjury accident involving the train and an unoccupied vehicle," police said.
