SSU Announces Exchange Program With Taiwan's Tunghai University

Sonoma State's Division of Student Affairs is working to select students for the summer 2024 exchange program.

ROHNERT PARK, CA β€” Sonoma State University has signed an agreement with Taiwan’s oldest private university, Tunghai University, to collaborate on student exchange programs.

As a result, students at Sonoma State will have access to Tunghai’s Summer Minimester, a program sponsored by Fulbright Taiwan, the Consortium for Study Abroad in Taiwan, and Tunghai University International College. Sonoma State students will be able to spend five weeks in Taiwan, taking classes for college credit in English with other college students from across the United States and the world.

Tunghai University is offering comprehensive scholarships, including travel, for two students to attend the Summer Minimester. The Division of Student Affairs is working to select students for summer 2024. Low-income and historically underrepresented students are encouraged to apply.

In spring 2024, the Provost’s Office will invite SSU faculty to teach courses in the Minimester in summer 2025.
