Vegetation Fire in Santa Rosa's Howarth Park Knocked Down
Firefighters remained on the scene until all hot spots were extinguished, officials say.

A vegetation that broke out at Howarth Park in Santa Rosa was brought under control Thursday evening, fire officials said.
The fire was reported at 6 p.m. on the north side of Lake Ralphine. Crews from several agencies joined Santa Rosa Fire in responding, officials said. As of 7:21 p.m., the blaze at the park at 630 Summerfield Road was under control.
As of 9:45 pm, the blaze was contained to under an acre, according to the Santa Rosa Fire Dept.
