Video: Should Sonoma County Ban Plastic Bags?

The Sonoma County Waste Management Agency wants your feedback on what is to be done about paper and plastic carryout bags. To hear from as many businesses and citizens as possible, the agency is hosting nine public meetings to present what actions are under consideration and to receive feedback.
The Rohnert Park City Council has taken up the issue, but so far has held out on joining in on a countywide ban, citing support for consumer choice over telling the public what to do. What do you think? Should Sonoma County ban plastic bags? And if so, should the bags be banned for restaurants, mom and pop stores and chains? Where should we draw the line?
