Walmart Remodeling 18 CA Vision Centers This Year
See the complete list of California Walmart stores that are remodeling vision centers, part of a nationwide $130 million investment.
CALIFORNIA — Walmart is investing $130 million in remodeling Vision Centers inside stores this year including at 18 in California.
The Vision Centers will have prescription glasses and sunglasses, contact lenses, eyewear accessories, and some will provide eye exams. Free in-store pickup and free shipping on qualifying purchases will also be offered, along with online shopping at the same price.
Low prices are a necessity for many shoppers, so Walmart offers complete pairs of eyeglasses including frames and lenses starting at $39, and more than 1,000 frames under $150. Brands include DKNY, Columbia, Bebe and Nike Eyewear for stylish options.
"This is an exciting time for us as we continue to invest in our Vision Center presence inside Walmart Supercenters across California," said David Reitnauer, VP Optical, Walmart. "Our mission is to deliver a ‘One Walmart’ experience to our Vision Center customers no matter where or how they shop."

- Brea
- Corona
- Duarte
- Huntington Beach
- Lakewood
- Madera
- Orange
- Oxnard
- Panorama City
- Redding
- Redlands
- Rohnert Park
- San Diego (2 stores)
- Santa Ana
- Santa Clarita
- Simi Valley
"Our Vision Center associates help patients see better to live better every day," said Reitnauer. "Their commitment and knowledge are key in ensuring we’re addressing our customers’ evolving needs – to live better and healthier lives."
Walmart operates more than 3,000 Vision Centers nationwide. Some were previously operated by National Vision Holdings, but are now fully owned and operated by Walmart itself.
