Who should win the volunteer of the year award this year?

In gearing up for Sonoma County Adult and Youth Development, or SCAYD, organizers are seeking the public's input for who should win Rohnert Park or Cotati Volunteer of the Year Award.

The nominee will be honored at the sixth annual "Run for the Roses" Gala May 7 at Sonoma Mountain Village.Β

Other awards up for grabs include the Projects Benefiting Youth award, Education-Related Volunteer, Youth Sports Volunteer, Teen Volunteer, Going Green Volunteer, Arts Volunteer, Charitable Business, Sonoma State Volunteer, Outstanding Civil Servant and Nonprofit Volunteer.

Other winners are: Shari Lorenz for Projects Benefitting Youth, Misha Ladner for Youth Sports, Judith Newton for Going Green, George Moskoff for SSU, Mary Jane Beccaria for Primary Education, Leff and Janice Brown for Secondary Education, Hannah Webster for Teen Volunteer, Carl Leivo for Nonprofit and Shirley Gibbs for Faith-based.
