Could 'The Beat' Record Store Move to Roseville?

The midtown vinyl shop is being forced to move.

One of Sacramento's most popular destinations for record-lovers is considering a move to Roseville.

The Sacramento Bee reports that The Beat, a record shop at 17th and J streets, has lost its lease and is looking for a new location.

Owner Rob Fauble told the Bee he's hoping to find another space in midtown or east Sacramento, but pickings are slim.

"He said offers have already been made for the former sacbee.com building at 21st and Q streets in Sacramento and about 7,000 square feet of space adjacent to Trader Joe's in Roseville Square, at Harding and Douglas boulevards in Roseville," the Bee reported.
