At 9:40 a.m. on Sept. 4, officers and firefighters responded to a Hyundai sedan that, while being driven through the gas station parking lot, collided with another vehicle and then a gas pump in the parking lot of the Chevron Station at Blue Oaks and Foothills boulevards.  The Hyundai caught on fire, but both occupants got out without being burned.  The Chevron station and an adjacent McDonald's restaurant were evacuated while the Roseville Fire Department put out the fire.  The investigating officer concluded that the driver, when maneuvering through the lot past other cars, accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brake.  Alcohol was not a factor in the collision, and no arrests were made.
