Shotgun Fired During Jealousy Fight

A shotgun was fired during a large fight in a strip mall parking lot in the 5100 block of Foothills Boulevard about 9 p.m. Sept. 8, according to Roseville Police. The fight involved several males in their late teens or early 20s.  The fighters dispersed when one of the involved parties, a still-unidentified Asian male in his late teens driving a burgundy pickup, fired a shotgun blast into the air. No one required ambulance transportation, but some drove to an area emergency room on their own for treatment of fight-related injuries.  The preliminary investigation indicates that the fight was not gang-related, but started because of jealousy over a girlfriend. No arrests have been made, and the incident is still under investigation.
