Dog’s Adventure: From Idaho, Spotted in Roseville, Found in Reno
Reba, a border collie mix, was reportedly stolen from an Idaho family, seen in Roseville and found near Reno.

A dog from Idaho had quite the adventure trekking across the county earlier this month. Except it wasn’t a family road trip, dog included. According to a story in the Lewiston Tribune, the 18-month-old border collie mix, Reba, went missing from the family’s Idaho home Sept. 13. The family suspected Reba was stolen.
A week later, the family’s veterinarian called, saying that someone from here in Roseville found a dog wearing Reba’s rabies vaccination tag.
Hearing that Reba made her way from Idaho to Roseville in two days, the Heath family was convinced Reba was stolen, according to the article.

Reba’s owner, Kami Heath, contacted the Roseville woman who said Reba showed up in her yard Sept. 15. But shortly after, a short woman with black hair arrived at the Roseville woman’s home, claimed the dog was hers and thanked the woman for finding Reba, according to the article.
But the cross-country-trekking-dog story doesn’t end there. A few days later, the Heath family received a call from the Humane Society of Washoe County, near Reno in Nevada, that they found a dog wearing Reba’s rabies tag and the description matched.

The family hopped in the car and drove cross-country to pick Reba up and return her home.
"We didn't want to give her up," Heath told the Lewiston Tribune. "She's been our pet since she was a puppy and our boys adore her."
