Drama Students Raise Money to Keep Musical Going After Theft
Oakmont High School drama students are fighting to keep their spring musical after approximately $3,000 was stolen. Donations are being accepted to help save the musical.

’s spring musical is in jeopardy after money was stolen from the school’s drama department on March 10.
Students are fighting to keep their upcoming show, “The Little Shop of Horrors” by holding fundraisers and accepting donations.
According to an article in The Sacramento Bee, approximately $3,000 was stolen for Oakmont’s drama department. According to the , the burglary took place sometime between 5-6:15 p.m. on March 10 after someone broke a window and burglarized the classroom.

On the school’s drama department Facebook page, students have called for donations and help. One student asks people to bring in recyclables like cans, bottles and glass to help raise money. Donations are also being accepted by mail to the school.

How can you help?
Make a donation: Make your check payable to OHS DRAMA and mail them to OHS Drama, 1710 Cirby Way, Roseville, CA 95661. Be sure to include your full name, or the complete name of your organization, and your mailing address.
Donations will be logged and deposited through Oakmont High School's office.
Donations are also accepted online here.
The school and district will officially accept donations at an upcoming Board meeting as well, according to information on Oakmont’s website.
Bring recyclables: The school is accepting recyclables like cans, bottles and glass.
