Former Mayor to Help Roseville Business Development
Gina Garbolino will help the Roseville Community Development Corporation to create businesses and jobs in the community.

Former mayor Gina Garbolino signed a six-month contract with the Roseville Community Development Corporation to assist in Roseville business development.
At its March 8 board meeting, the Roseville Community Development Corporation, or RCDC, unanimously approved the $15,600 contract with Garbolino. She will help the corporation connect entrepreneurs with the capital needed to create successful businesses that will create jobs for Roseville and the region and will work with banks to assist the RCDC with its financing and revenue goals.
“Gina’s business acumen, vision, and personal conviction about Downtown Roseville is the right fit to help propel the corporation’s efforts forward,” said Howard Rudd, chair of the RCDC, in a news release.

Garbolino worked for 25 years in business development, community development and marketing for First American Title in South Placer and for the Bank of Commerce-Roseville. She has been a longtime champion of the Roseville community and Roseville’s downtown revitalization and has been volunteering in a similar capacity for the corporation in the 15 months since she left office.
“Gina’s expansive network of business contacts and her connections with banks and key decision makers in the region have been a tremendous asset in helping the Community Development Corporation achieve many of its objectives,” said John Sprague, chief executive officer of the CDC.

Recent downtown highlights include:
- The City of Roseville in December approved a $37 million financing package for infrastructure downtown that will pave the way for a dramatic transformation of the community’s most historic area.
- This spring, construction is slated to begin on the , a special event area with a stage and interactive water feature in front of the Roseville Civic Center intended to be a yearround community gathering place that capitalizes on the natural and historic assets of Roseville’s downtown.
- Last week, the RCDC and Innova Restaurant Concepts announced the fall opening of on Vernon Street, part of the family of restaurants started by popular rock musician Sammy Hagar.
The RCDC is a non-profit organization established by the Roseville City Council in 2010 to implement the city’s economic and revitalization goals, including its vision for Downtown Roseville.
