Fundraiser Set to Help Boy Attacked by Dog

A fundraiser will be held Jan. 23-25 to raise funds for a 2-year-old Roseville boy who was attacked by a dog.

A Roseville business is stepping up to help a local boy who was attacked by a dog during a camping vacation.

The Eaton family was camping by the California border after the holidays when a dog the family had been around many times “snapped” and attacked 2-year-old Brody Eaton, his mother Jessica Eaton said. Brody was airlifted to a children’s hospital in Phoenix and underwent surgery to his face.

Jessica said the Akita dog attacked the left side of Brody’s face. His vision is OK, but Brody is expected to undergo another surgery to replace his missing eyelid.

Jessica said their insurance does not cover cosmetic procedures, so every donation helps.

As a result of this, Jessica said her family is considering starting a foundation to raise awareness and to provide safety information about large dogs.

“You just never know; they are still animals,” Jessica said.
