Granite Bay High Leads Area High School STAR Scores
Woodcreek High ranked highest in science STAR scores.

In standardized testing, Granite Bay High School is the strongest high school in the Roseville area.
That’s according to new state figures released Monday that show the Granite Bay school scored highest among Roseville area schools in math, English and history during the 2010-11 California Standards Tests. In science, students ranked highest with 82.5 percent of students earning “proficient or advanced” scores. At Granite Bay High, that number was 73.3 percent.
Math is where Granite Bay High School students surpassed other Roseville schools considerably. Of the 1,594 Granite Bay High students tested, 43.5 percent scored advanced or proficient in math. Of the 1,189 students tested, 33.7 percent scored advanced or proficient in math.

In English, students scored considerably lower than other Roseville high schools. Of the 1,498 Roseville High students tested, 59.2 percent scored advanced or proficient in English. That’s compared to 70.3 percent at Oakmont High, 73.8 percent at Woodcreek High and 77.8 percent at Granite Bay High.
In regards to history, each high school scored pretty similar. At Oakmont High, 58.3 percent of students tested scored advanced or proficient in history; 64 percent at Roseville High, 62.3 percent at Woodcreek High and 69.9 percent at Granite Bay High.
