Male Reported Near Roseville Schools, Offers Kids Rides

Roseville Police have received a few reports of a male offering a ride to children near several Roseville schools. Police do not know if the incidents are connected.

Roseville Police caution parents and children to be aware of a few recent incidents of a male approaching school children and offering them a ride.

According to reports, a male stranger has been reported in the last few days near and elementary schools after school is out. The male has reportedly offered a few children, both boys and girls, a ride or tried to get them to approach his vehicle, according to police. Three incidents were reported in the West Park area near Junction Elementary School and one incident was reported near Thomas Jefferson Elementary School near Central Park Drive.

The descriptions of the suspicious male and his vehicle vary. In some reports, the vehicle was described as a white sedan; in others, as a white or aqua-colored van.  The suspicious male is consistently described as a white male, but descriptions of his age, clothing and hairstyle has varied widely. Roseville Police don't know if the various reports are connected.
